JUNE 1st - JULY 16TH Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
Are you looking for a fun and stimulating way for your child to spend their summer days? Does your son or daughter enjoy playing outside, making new friends, and learning about the world and themselves? Then sign them up for a month of 'discovery' at our HCNS Summer Discovery Camp.
HCNS summer camp consists of weekly themed camps (see descriptions below) for children who will turn 3 years of age by June 1, all the way up to pre-kindergarten ages. There will be theme-related activities, water play and lots of outdoor fun! Camp is from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday - Thursday. A snack is provided and children bring their own peanut-free lunch. For more information contact Meg at HampshireCoop@gmail.com or (603) 643-4640
What better way to start off summer than with a week at the “beach”?! Anyone for a game of sharks and minnows? Want to make a Soctopus? Mermaids, shells, fish, whales and did we mention SHARKS abound as we explore life under the sea through nature and craft projects, storytelling and games.
week 2: June 8 - 11: Say “Yes” to the Mess
This is the quintessential arts and crafts camp- a literal hodgepodge of activities and mediums that include crayons, pottery,, cloth, clay, duct tape... the sky is the limit. We’ll use all the good crafty verbs guaranteed to inspire: blending, carving, molding, sculpting, pasting, painting... fun!
week 3: June 15 - 18: Exploring the World Around Us
Back by popular demand! We’ll explore outer space together, create rockets, play games, learn about the stars and planets ~ all through hands-on activities, songs, and play.
week 4: June 22 - 25: Eric Carle
In order to celebrate one of my favorite author’s birthday (Eric Carle) we will be bringing some of his artwork to life. Crafts galore! Let’s just hope we can get to the slice of cake before “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” eats through it
week 5: June 29 - July 2: under the big top
The Circus is coming to town! We will be following this theme all week with fun costumes, ring toss, balloon animals, popcorn and more! Letting your child run away to join the circus has never been so fun and educational. Let the show begin!
week 6: July 6 - 9: A pirates life for me
Ahoy Mateys! Join us this week for swashbuckling fun as we journey through the seven seas to find the hidden classroom treasure. Do not jump overboard without your safety preserver no matter what the parrot on your shoulder tells you.
Week 7: July 13 - 16: Camping
Pack your bags, cause we’re going camping! This week we will tell campfire stories, roast marshmallows, go on a search and rescue and soak up the last week of summers fun. We will recap all of our exciting adventures and celebrate the friendships that only summer camp can create. Happy Camping!
