Hi parents and grandparents,
Had a fun week working on our raptors and hiking!
The children are very focused on making their raptors true to the markings of actual birds. We mixed complex colors , used big and small brushes to paint areas after much time spent sanding their birds. We also watched more of the Nature documentary about snowy owls, and read a book of fiction Otis the owl who loved poetry. The main theme of the book is being an artist can create friendships!
Outside we hiked to our campground, did spring cleaning and did some cooking in the mud kitchen. Erika helped make a new shelter and the children put in the roof with branches and bark. Was lovely to listen to the stream and wind in the hemlocks.
We will continue working on our birds this week hopefully many will be hung in the entry way. Also weather permitting we will hike to our campsite to do more playing and spring cleanup.
Happy outdoor exploring
Giovanna and Sandy
